Anyone who doesn't like the hand sign because it's "foreign" or "forced" doesn't
know it's origin.
It was very organically made, spread through the ROC, and finally adopted by Kalani (which made it official).
I think it's awesome.

Yes sir. First hand knowledge, 100% the ROC was doing it for free throws first.

And it was happening during football season as well.

A full blooded Tongan started using the shaka only after seeing the ROC do it?
StantonMac

1. He's Tongan. 2. Obviously he has always done it, but it didn't

Al you say is true, but that doesn't mean Kalani started using it as the "Y"
StantonMac

It started in the ROC. This I know.

You should chill on this. I'm not sure what you are arguing.

How have I argued on his behalf? You're saying the ROC had nothing to do with it

Yeah, it seems totally organic. Not forced at all. (eye roll)

It was 100% organic and not forced. This is something I witnessed.

Traditions make themselves organically. If the "shaka Y" takes off....

I think it has a little bit to do with the hatred for Utah's hand signal.
