A decade is a long time. But this is just my opinion...
Kalani was hired to keep the seat warm as Ty gets his feet wet. No chance BYU loses Ty to another program. Everyone has always known TY's abilities as a coach and leader from his days at BYU to his mentoring of Brett Favre. I think Kalani is well aware that he is keeping the seat warm for a while.

I have nothing against Kalani and think he deserves this opportunity. But, it's Ty's job when he's ready.
