although not as historic or as heated as Baylor. Tech joining the SWC was one of the reasons TCU went into the tank in the 60's - we had historically dominated west Texas in recruiting, and then suddenly they did after moving from the Border Conference to the SWC. Plus, it used to be rare for TCU and Baylor to be good in the same year - Tech is historically good every single year, but never great. Their highest year-end ranking ever is 17th. So our Tech games are almost always VERY competitive, which makes for a good rivalry. Last year - case in point. If it hadn't have been for Boykin-to-Doctson-to-Green, we wouldn;t have won. Baylor is #1; Tech #2.
