That's a dangerous game to play if they really don't want them
By stating they want UH publicly, what if the other schools now vote for UH because they want to keep UT happy and want to deter them from ever leaving?
I think BYU fans as looking at UT's comments through a skewed lens. I think Texas likes the idea of another in-state school, which will only draw more eyes to the LHN.
