expansion to 12, UH takes one of two available spots. That should make anyone nervous. Public institutions are beholden to do what the purse holder (the state governement) says. So you should be concerned, just from a numbers standpoint.

The fact that Chip Brown is piping up putting 1. UH, 2. Cincinatti makes me very nervous. He's probably posturing, but he's making a powerful statement. Texas wants UH as 1. They still view Cincinatti as a priority add. Add this to some of the additional pushing for publicity we've seen come from BYU through Tom Holmoe and other official channels and it makes a situation where I feel less comfortable.

Now, who knows? To a degree we are all reading tea leaves. The public information leads me to believe we should be very very cautiously optimistic.
