They used it a lot in Ty's day and obviously Kalani was a FB. Also seems like a lot of Polys (an obvious recruiting strength) are ideal FB size and speed (6'1"-6'3" and 220-250lbs and fast but not elite Tailback fast).
Since we will be seeing the TE use increase and going more to a WC offense, I am surprised we don't hear more of the FB position, or is it a "dead" position now?

look at how many teams in the nfl and college use a FB. it's essentially dead. the offenses that use it need elite
