due to age. BYU DOES NOT HAVE A MONOPOLY ON MISSION KIDS!!! If it is such a huge advantage Saban, Harbaugh, Strong, Oscar Meyer, etc. would all be recruiting mission kids and/or sending their kids on humantarian aid trips for a year or two. There are even coaches who won't hold scholarship spots for mission kids, I think that is what happened to a recent BYU commit who was recruited by S. Car. but the coach wasn't very willing to work around a mission. If it is such a huge advantage they would work around it easy. It just isn't and any fan that makes that argument totally discredits himself in my book, I would rather listen to a Ute fan talk about how upstanding their program is than listen to another idiot babble on about how old BYU players and the unfair advantage caused by it.

It just flat out isnt an advantage and only teams that get their butts beat by BYU complain about it because they don't know how to explain how they lost to a bunch of white mormon kids. It is like the altitude thing all over again, no one complains about the altitude until they lose or think they will lose to BYU.
