Technically, just because a player is not among the 105 participating in camp doesn't mean he's not "on the team." And I'd hate to upset a player or his family by removing him from the online roster when he's still going to be with the team in-season. Kyle Johnson is still recovering from injuries and as such, it doesn't make sense to give him one of the precious spots in fall camp. But, he's still trying to work his way back and play mid-season so he's definitely still on the team.

My big pet peeve is people taking the online roster as gospel (as Drew has done here). The online roster is just the marketing people's approximation of the actual roster maintained by the football program. They don't always communicate with each other. And to be honest, with the new coaching staff, the communication has been even worse than before.
