it didn't include all Big 12 candidates and BYU does not have same access as G5
BYU does not have the same "access" as Group of 5 schools. The top ranked G5 school has a guaranteed place in in a "NY6" bowl if none are selected for the playoff. BYU does not.
BYU is NOT a G5 school.
There's been talk of current P5 schools being potential candidates too.
