pretending it's a "fast" lane is half the problem. many do that.
Use it as a passing lane and not a fast lane and traffic moves smoother.
If I'm going 80 MPH on a 3 lane freeway where the speed limit is 70, I'm breaking the law.
Also, I'm being an idiot if I'm driving in the far left lane and not actively passing anyone.
