Honestly, if Bronco ever struggled in the second regard, he seems to me to have made close friendships with people of a very different sorts, despite. And although he struggled to build much of a network in the coaching world (not a surprise for such a natural loner) he had a way of connecting with some coaches who don't hand out close friendship all too easy (Urban Meyer comes immediately to mind, but there were other big names that kept in contact with him).
