Thanks to SouthernBlueBlood 4 carrying the CB torch in Baton Rouge this weekend!
I wasn't on CB much myself with the situation, but had a similar awesome experience there. Should have planned to meet up with him and any other CBers while there ...

Wow ... what an experience. The devastation there is massive. I've never seen anything like this. This hit really close to the heart since we lived in the area from 2007-2011. Hundreds of our friends lost essentially all of their belongings and are in limbo right now, not knowing if they can/should rebuild or get help to move forward. During our time there, we lived in/owned two different houses (renting one out while living in the other). Both of those homes flooded.

The families we helped were truly appreciative. Many tears were shed in gratitude. I had the great opportunity to take my 4 oldest sons down with me this weekend. I was proud of their efforts and attitude. I even took my 11 year old (found out later that this was younger than was desired/allowed) and he was amazing. Everyone in our group complimented him and me on his relentless work and how, although they feared he'd be a hindrance at the beginning, he proved to be a great asset to our team. I think his attitude and example actually made our adults and older Young Men pick up their pace and avoid slacking off. "And a little child shall lead them ..."

I can tell you that I saw at least 100 people "Reppin' the Y" in Baton Rouge this weekend as well. Got to see my old friend (now the Denham Springs Stake Pres) and he greeted me exclaiming "Roll Tide! Go Cougars!" and I also happened to meet Elder Bluth (current AA70 and previous Baton Rouge Stake Pres) and he definitely must be a CBer ... he recognized me and said he loved all the data on BYU/Big12. Had a great conversation with him and he's a True Blue BYU fan. Felt an instant kinship with him as often happens when like-minded fans meet.

And, to end, I'll paste in a wild story from a friend of mine in the neighboring (Birmingham) Stake ... just in case this link doesn't work:

So everyone is swapping stories about the clean-up projects that they were on, certain that theirs was the best/worst.
You can't make this stuff up. You don't need to; it is every possible condition and circumstance imaginable.
But, in my mind, the winner is: the crew that found a 300+ pound pig (dead) in a masterbedroom. How, when or why it got there will likely remain forever a mystery.
