I'm a UH fan; I've been in favor of UH, BYU all along. FYI, I'm gay and have no issue with BYU. Some battles do not need to be fought and in my opinion this was one of them. I have gay football friends who feel the same way. Not everything needs to be political.

The consultants and the networks both put BYU #1 and UH #2 so aside from any UT influence UH should be getting in. The resistance is certain schools wanting to raid Houston's market but overall the increased presence of the Big12 will lift the entire boat. A&M's defection was a huge blow to the Big12--far bigger than any other team that defected.

UT is somewhat indifferent so if expansion happens UH will get in; UT can block as needed. The other schools would not even consider expansion until UT signaled the ok.

The divisions I see are BYU, TECH, UT, HOUSTON, KANSAS, KSU
BAYLOR, TCU, OSU, OU, ISU, WV

This splits the texas teams and puts OU, UT in different divisions. I think 2 more teams may be added in a year or two and will give the 4th team time to make a stronger case.
