...and I don't tend to believe that people are this forward-thinking since it's too hard to predict the future. But maybe, just maybe, one silver lining to our hearing we made the first cut but aren't "in" (yet), is that this is the B12 floating a trial balloon to the LGBT community to see if there's outrage we weren't cut immediately. If no outrage, maybe the B12 takes courage and doesn't let the LGBT letter stop them, assuming they'd have invited us anyway. I kind of assume they would invite us anyway, but the politics of that letter could prove difficult to overcome.

Here's hoping that even if not planned, someone in the B12 notices the lack of uproar and decides real political blowback from inviting us is unlikely, and that our actual athletic field performance should drive the decision.
