My fears were realized with the changeover in coaching, as I knew there would be growing pains with this new offense. But I am fully expecting the offense to be better. I listened to Ty's post practice stuff with the press, and did not think as some had said that he threw the rest of the team under the bus. And it sounded to me like that with more effort and precision some of the offensive woes can be fixed.
Call me overly positive, but I actually feel better this week than I did the last two. The talent level of both Utah and UCLA is pretty good, and BYU almost beat Utah and with a better offensive performance could have beaten UCLA.
West Virginia might be 2-0 but they have played a middling to bottom dwelling SEC team, and a cupcake. They are not that great, and BYU can beat them. Certainly the offense has to improve, but I have confidence that it will.
Incidentally, if and when the Cougars win on Saturday, is not 2-2 a pretty good result considering the schedule this year? It is my prediction that the Pac 12 south will come down to UCLA and Utah. And BYU almost beat both of those teams.
Just sayin.
The sky is not falling!
