That's the question. Wells' teams have been getting progressively worse each season.
There are other Gary Andersen's out there for USU. Ed Lamb may even be one. Yes they'll likely leave after 3 years or so, but you could have a historic season during one of these years.

Coaches like that are hard to find though. Do you risk giving up your head coach who is a decent head coach to go after something like that and potentially do a lot worse? I don't know. I do think the formula of using a polynesian pipeline and RM's can give USU a better chance to have a season like that than a lot of G5 schools.

If Wells has a bad season this year, 2017-2018 will be an interesting year.
