I had the good fortune of traveling to DC to see the game from SLC. This is not a post to suggest what we should or should not have done but rather a post of what I noticed Ty Detmer do at the end of the game.

When the final whistle was blown and the players and coaching staff made their way towards the middle of the field, Ty Detmer made a beeline to find #88 (Hifo). I watched as Ty crouched down by Hifo and spoke with him first...then Ty made his way to the middle of the field.

Granted, I have no idea what Ty shared but I do know what I saw and Ty made sure he got to speak with Hifo before making any effort to walk towards the center of the field. I am not sure if anyone else noticed and posted so earlier. I am not often on CB but wanted to take the time to share what I saw. For sure, Ty used words of comfort and found a moment to be a friend and teacher.
