Granted back in the mid 70s, N Eldon Tanner pretty much set the standard with how the church was going to handle contreversial public issues, it still needs to be debated. There's a difference between being confrontational vs being informative and debating truths. I don't think the church has debated truths publicly in a long time. At what point will they do so?
