I think the decision to go with Taysom was not based on practice performance.
The fact that the announcement was not made til 1 week before the season says quite a bit.Neither QB separated himself with their play alone.
Taysom separated himself with leadership and seniority IMO. He was the alpha that the team circled around and I think as a new coach you have to go with that.
Especially when you have a freshman all-American on the sidelines that is ready to go any time.
