and didn't play hoops at BYU. I know more than a few ex-players and ex-coaches that are really hurt and feel spurned by the BYU athletics community. Guys that feel they sacrificed more than any fan posting on a message board would know because they had a burning desire to make BYU great.....BUT the hands dealt made their lives turn upside down, and some struggle with membership in the Church...simply because the feelings they harbor over the treatment they received at their Church's school.

It's easy to be somebody that never made it, and say just putting on that uniform once would've been enough.....but some of the people that go to BYU had options (like Hill) but chose to go to a place that was special to them since they were kids, reenacting the comeback vs. SMU, or the championship game from 84.... some of them were just as big a fan as people here, and it's just hard for them to not to be able to merge their dreams with reality.....and then to have to deal with the reality.
