BYU was ranked S&P+ #33 coming in to the Boise State game. Boise was ranked #22 in S&P+. We lost to them by 1 point on the road with our best player (Williams) hurt and not playing a down and two other key players (Tuiloma & Davis) hurt and playing in very limited fashion. Based on that, I'm thinking our S&P+ ranking goes up a little. But let's just say it stays at #33.
Cincinnati is #75.
SUU is FCS
UMass is #118
Utah State is #86.
So which two of those teams do you think BYU loses to?
Keep in mind that BYU's losses come to #22 (Boise), #24 (WV), #41 (UCLA) and #48 (Utah). BYU has already defeated #35 (Toledo), #58 (MisSt), #73 (MichSt) and #81 (Arizona).
I mean, I guess it is theoretically possible that BYU loses on the road to #75 Cincinnati, but BYU will be healthy for that game coming out of a 16-day bye period. My guess is that you will see a completely different BYU in that game because the team will be the healthiest since week 1.
