Now if when you miss a 40+ yard attempt due not to your kick, but to a break down in blocking, that's poor kicking, well, not sure how to respond, just that we haven't lost many due to poor kicking, if anything, more due to a breakdown in protection with your perception of our kicking success being affected by the few notable exceptions. But misses occur, especially beyond 40 yards. Now if you want to talk about a poor performance, talk about Boise's kicker, an excellent kicker who had one blocked, not his fault, though you would see it otherwise, and missed badly on another short attempt.
