Taysom is a tremendous person and individual, I know his extended family. To imply he starts for this reason is silly.

There are a lot of great young me on the team that don't start or play. They should not play despite being great leaders and examples, the best players should play. To solely judge the team and its players based on this is a slap in the face to many players.

These comments are a knock on Tanner. Tanner is a good leader and great young man. These comments are silly and really make it sound like Taysom is such a good guy that it supersedes what Tanner can do on the field.

I would say he starts more likely for abnormally loyal coaches who feel they owe Taysom for coming back. Personally I see it as time to give Tanner a shot......this has nothing to do with leadership (both can lead) nor spirituality, all about winning.
