Maybe you should look at a Christian Healthshare like Liberty. $449/month
with a yearly deductible of $1500 per family. Coverage up to $1 Million per person per incident per year.
So, you will pay out of pocket for the first $1500, but it will be at a negotiated, reduced rate. Beyond that is 100% covered.
Some restrictions - they don't cover maintenance drugs, mental health, and some other stuff...but if you are looking for a middle ground..may be a good option.
