calm each other down before they react negatively toward an official about a call. It will heip them get the calls later if they establish a reputation of trying to avoid that.

One of the officials, Dick Cartmell is from my home town and had kids play at the same High School as Beo. I've played golf with him once or twice. He is close to a scratch Handicap and a heck of a nice guy. He had a pretty impressive par on the opening hole dogleg left par 5 at Meadow Springs CC once when I was playing in his group. Hit a nice drive and then topped a 5 wood into the pond that guards the corner. Takes a drop and hits the next one about 3 feet from the stick. Easy game.
