It was. I was scratching my head on a couple calls and Daugherty obviously
didn't like a couple of his calls. He has been selected to officiate final fours so apparently his peers and coaches around the country thing he does a good job.

The glaringly stupid officiating moment of the game was after Mika picked up a foul where he was basically just called for trying to hold his ground up around the elbow of the lane and as he was lining up for the free throw he must have asked one of the other officials what he did wrong and the guys reply, which could be clearly heard on the broadcast was "it's about freedom of movement." That has nothing to do with a defender being entitled to occupy a spot on the floor he arrived at first which is a at least as big of a cardinal principle of officiating as freedom of movement which mostly applies to bumping/holding cutters off the ball.
