over the past few years. Twenty years ago you never saw a dog on a plane. Last commercial flight I took had three dogs on board. One was crammed underneath a seat like a carry-on and barked most of the flight. It woke up a sleeping baby. Another had it's own seat assignment (sat on the floor in the bulkhead row) and was very well behaved.
A couple of years ago we sat a behind a dog who had an accident and stunk up the front half of the plane. I have no problem with seeing eye dogs and service dogs, but I wonder if the airlines are becoming a little too accomodating now. I read about a prankster who pushed the limits and got a pot-bellied pig on a flight as a comfort animal.
