Basketball is beautiful game when played correctly.
Run and gun offenses are fun to watch and when your hot, you can outscore a lot of teams.

But basketball is also a sport that if you run a solid offense and everybody executes, you can almost guarantee yourself a decent look at the basket. I think that is what frustrates me about BYU basketball right now. I've watched middling high school teams execute an offense with far better precision and results than BYU does in the half court. Maybe because I grew up playing motion offenses where we had 5 guys constantly moving, passing, screening, cutting, etc. to create the open shot that I am biased.

Nearly any type of defense can be exposed to get a decent shot off at the basket. It simply takes the right offensive approach, good passing, unselfish play, recognizing and creating mismatches, etc. Right now I don't see BYU doing any of that. If you are totally outclassed physically, it can be difficult, but that isn't the case with BYU.
