Here are some things to consider:

1. Sounds like Damuni always wanted to go to Stanford. So we probably lose out on him in any case.
2. Other LBs took spots. Ben Bywater and Preston Lewis were 3* LBs that accepted months ago.
3. Defensive Line and Defensive Backfield have been the priority.
4. Safeties that bulk up will increasingly be moved to LB.

With all this, I don't see Damuni as a big "miss" I'd be much more concerned if we can't close Alden Tofa, Jordan Lolohea, and Lorenzo Fauatea. They are in our wheelhouse in an area of big big need.
