Mata Hola getting some late interest from Ok. St.
It has long been a battle between USU and BYU, but he is visiting OSU this weekend and if he picks up an offer, that could very well change the game. He's the #3 OLB in Utah and would be a great stash for future years even though the cupboard is stocked, so to speak. His BYU visit went very very well over the weekend, coming straight from him in a recent scout interview. Says BYU has set the bar and has everything he's looking for, including his ideal academic/career path later on. It will be interesting to see how it plays out, because losing Mata Hola to USU would be just plain stupid. We shouldn't lose anything to them straight up unless its a significant deviation from the prospect's desired path, like Fakahua wanting to play QB.
