I'd rather it be qualitative.
I guess there's a number behind each factor, but I'd rather look at the quality of guys, the measurables with potential. The history of him being involved with recruiting so many unattractive recruits who ended up very good college players and gone pro. Just saying if you focus on a number, you'll probably find a way to complain.

But there are things like this.
Last year:
Largely responsible for getting Tanielu on board and staying.
Landed a big former USC commit
Basically flipped two Utah guys, one a Utah commit and one one of whom grew up a Utah legacy kid, and just weeks before he didn't even have BYU in his top 3 and was leaning Utah. Also didn't lose any commits to Utah in return. Almost flipped another as well and very well may have if he wasn't brand new to the position.
Flipped an Oregon State commit
Brought Latu back after decommitting

This year:
Flipped two Oregon guys so far.
Likely gets the flip on a former OSU commit and might get another.
Probably gets another guy who grew up a Utah fan
Likely brings in a few guys with UCLA offers

Non recruiting but "influence of the staff" and likely would have been recruiting had they been at BYU at the time... Transfers from Oregon and Utah. Guys who technically aren't transfers because they never showed up but are flipping to BYU... One from Wisconsin, very likely later this year one from Utah and one from Oregon State (a 4 star).

The stuff with this year isn't set in stone but you can clearly see the influence of the staff. It's there. Whether people want to see it or not...
We'll also see how things go with this Fehoko stuff. A former 5 star transferring to BYU would be nice. You never know.

Next year will be even better.
