goals as high as they can possibly be. If a fan is pissed because the team doesn't reach those expectations then that is a fan's issue. But fans should absolutely have expectations. Great programs thrive on internal and external expectations. Lavell created expectations for the football program. The program now thrives on the fact that it has a rabid fanbase invested and EXPECTING success. The whole program is build around those expectations. Assistants are removed quickly if they don't produce. We can't afford to be average. And it's awesome, I guarantee that team is preparing as if they are going to take down LSU while the rest of the world doesn't believe it. And they want their fans to buy in and believe it too.
A little bit of those higher expectations would be a good thing for the basketball program.
