Academia must not be for me, because this seems bizarre.
Student #1 - doesn't study the 1st time, gets a 650. Studies hard the 2nd time, gets a 700. This demonstrates his work ethic.
Student #2 - studies his butt off the 1st time, gets a 700. Realizes it's irrational to take it a 2nd time (and is busy with a job, kids, church/community service). Must not be a hard worker.
