Absolutely - the Big 12 and Pac-12 are being propped up right now
by the system and by the media rights holders. If any one of them turn on the Big 12 the artificial notion of a P5 will go to P3 and the 2 lightweights.
ESPN can strong arm both of these conferences in the next round, and probably will to some extent. All of them need ESPN (look at Urban meyer and Coach Ks comments), right now ESPN has the leverage.
