Our bench needs a spark. Clearly Childs is a better player with a higher ceiling, but I loved the mental game that Shaw played last night. Our offense ran better when he was in, because he played his role flawlessly and facilitated. It also protects at least one of our scoring big men from ticky tack early fouls that can affect the game so much. To clarify, I absolutely don't think Shaw should play more minutes than Childs, just that it might be nice to protect one of our best players from the refs and let him come off the bench to provide a spark.
