A movie about a devoutly religious man who refused to pick up a weapon but goes to war and becomes a hero... No chance in today's Hollywood.

Maybe if he were gay or transgender.

Hacksaw Ridge blows Arrival, LA LA Land, Lion and Hidden Figures out of the water.

Haven't seen the rest .. But I don't think they could be as good.

And the real story of Desmond Doss is even more incredible than what's shown in the movie. Mel Gibson said they actually left stuff out that Doss did because they felt audiences world not believe it.

Go rent Hacksaw Ridge today. It's only R because of the graphic war violence which is pretty intense. But there is actually very little language, and no sex or nudity.

It really is wonderful film.
