Anae's offense was more of having the QB throw to a point and letting the receiver go up and get it. Detmer's requires the QB to make more reads, plus we don't have anyone outside of MLP that can really go up and get those jump balls, and he'll be playing TE this year. Trinnaman can get open deep, but Mangum is going to have to hit him in stride, because he won't be able to consistently go up and win jump balls. Same can probably be said for Hifo. Shumway may be a good jump ball option, he's tall, but I haven't seen enough of him to know what kind of receiver he is, whether he's got the speed to get open deep or if he's more of a possession guy.
