Finish her surgery. Thanks to gtown for the information. Turns out that our first doctor was just plain wrong on the options. He was the one who wanted to keep her in the hospital for an extra week. Our OB referred us to an interventional radiologist who is cleaning out the veins as we speak. Unfortunately they didn't do this at the same hospital so she had to get discharged then readmitted. After all the clots are pulled out, they watch her for shorter 24 hours so I get to be Mr Mom for the day. Should be fun.
