dozen or so years (not counting McKee which would make 6). Out of those 5 you had Mangum and Heaps both choose BYU, you had Cooper Bateman choose Alabama, Travos Jonsen choose Oregon, and Josh Nunes choose Stanford. I don't recall BYU ever seriously recruiting Jonsen or Nunes though it shows they both had offers. I'm sure BYU was never seriously considered by either of them. It was also pretty much known that Bateman was looking to go out of state as well. Even so, BYU has a pretty good track record when going after QBs like McKee. This doesn't include the next tier of QBs which would include the likes of Taysom Hill, Jason Munns, and a couple of others that BYU has landed.
At this point it looks to be between BYU and Stanford. What I've read/heard makes it seem as if BYU has the edge but both schools are very much in play for him. Hopefully we can seal the deal.
