An overbearing father that uses you as an asset and probably runs you into the ground about athletics everyday or no Dad at all? Either way you've got Daddy issues. I'm sure we all have our own examples of this (whether directly or indirectly involved) but those that I know that had sports rammed down their throats grew up resenting their Dad's, while those that didn't have a Dad do have resentment but to a much lesser degree than the former.
