What if everyone behind the hoop (or in the stands opposite the opposing team's serve direction in vball) had a ball in their hands and tossed it up in the air to themselves right as the person is gonna shoot (or serve)? Several challenges I see...

1) Would they have to be small to get them in past security? Or maybe this isn't an issue and the team could distribute the balls to the ROC at halftime like they do with all the face posters.

2) How long till some uncoordinated 20-yr-old can't catch their own ball and it ends up on the court stopping play?

Anyway, worth considering I think.
