Nowhere has anyone made the argument that Taysom was a better passer than Tanner. Anyone who did would be a moron.

Unfortunately there is much more to being a quarterback than passing the ball. The original point that Ty Detmer made (he may know more about being a quarterback than you), was that in the framework of the offense that Ty was running, Taysom had a much better understanding of that offense than Tanner did.
