etc." Scott "broke" the story based on an anonymous source and ran with it for weeks with no evidence that he could produce and show for it, gleefully showboating how BYU was caught in a major scandal. When the investigation ran its course, turns out BYU gave free socks to players who needed them. Minor infraction, BYU apologized.
