"IMO, he had a shining moment opportunity that wasn't taken advantage of."
People need to remember not every freshman comes into D-1 and is a superstar. He had a chance to shine, sure, but because he was an inexperienced freshman and didn't take advantage of the moment isn't a reason to get rid of him.

Rose didn't used to suffer from impatience and kick all his young bench players off the team every year only to replace them with MORE young bench players every season.

Beo seems pretty typical for a freshman. Was he deserving of being kicked off the team? How did he compare to some other freshmen from prior seasons under Dave Rose?

Beo - shot 38.5% from the floor, 29% from 3, avg'd 2.2 pts with 16 TO's in 31 games.
Player A - shot 40% from the floor, 30.2% from 3, avg'd 2.8 pts a game and had 19 TO's on the year in 28 games.
Player B - shot 58.1% from the floor, 0% from 3 (didn't attempt), avg'd 2.4 pts and had 14 TO's in 27 games
Player C - shot 40% from the floor, 42.9% from 3, avg'd 2.9 pts and had 22 TO's in 33 games
Player D - shot 36.6% from the floor, 29.8% from 3, avg'd 4.3 pts with 32 TO's in 34 games (he played way more mins than any of the others)

Beo doesn't seem that far removed from the other former freshman in the comparison. Care to guess who they were? Turning over the bench every year is about as effective as Kyle's canning his OC every year. You get the program mired in the sand and it has difficulty moving forward. Rose didn't used to be like this. he used to give players time to develop, even if it took them until their senior year to be a real stud.
