I was just looking at the WCC Baseball standings. The number of games played differs significantly between teams, making the rankings difficult. That being said, there is currently a 4 way tie in the loss column for first place. The top 4 are important because the top 4 are in the conference tournament. The wins at Sandiego were huge to keep BYU in that top 4. 3 Losses would have put them down in a tie for the 5th spot.
