He ran the floor well, had a nice outside touch, attacked the rim in the open floor, protected the rim, etc. Then in high school ball he disappeared for the most part as shorter thicker kids just pushed him all over the floor. He also got thrown around like a rag doll by the big Boise kid in the one game last summer in which they went head to head.
Personally, I think Carlson could be quite good but he is going to need to add a lot of strength and some mass and is going to have to really REALLY grow some thick skin to play for Krysko. He is a pretty soft hearted, really nice kid who still blushes and slaps his head with both hands if he shoots an airball. I am worried that Krysko could destroy this kid, which would be sad because if he is handled well I think he could be good.
