I do like the edge and defensive presence that Schroyer could bring. However, I personally like the up-tempo brand and style that BYU plays and am not eager to slow it down. For me, the biggest need is expanding the recruiting geography to fill some needed gaps. I would like someone with connections overseas or really plugged in to prep schools in a non-traditional BYU area.

I am not sure how Schroyer is as a recruiter. So I am not saying he is poor there. I like the idea of a Brazilian or Brandon Akana to tap into new recruiting areas. Maybe Schroyer brings that.
