So I did a little research. Sitake started at Utah in 2005, Utah had guys drafted in 2005, 2006, and 2007, but none of them were JUCO guys and all of them started at Utah prior to Sitake's hiring.
From 2009-2016, Utah had 22 players drafted. I dug as much as I could to see who those players' primary recruiter was at Utah. I was surprised to find that of those 22, only 2, Star Lotulelei and Keith McGill, were listed as Kalani's recruits. There are a couple of guys this year, Hunter Dimick and Pita Taumoepenu, who could potentially get drafted that were his recruits, but I would've thought it would be much higher than that.
There were several guys who didn't have a main recruiter listed, but most of them were offensive players, so I don't think that Kalani would've been recruiting them. The defensive recruits that didn't have a primary recruiter listed were Robert Johnson, Brice McCain, and Trevor Reilly.
