these days. Not completely, because lets face it, you can't just go cold turkey.
Back 10+ years ago I don't remember so many taking offense to those that didn't like what was said on CB. Not only that, but then dogging someone who could be negatively affected by comments on this board. We all know recruits come across CB, parents, athletes, on and on, all come across CB at some point. Why is it so hard to believe that JP would get upset if people were posting anything remotely negative about him or his business on a BYU message board? What if a parent reads that and was deciding between Stroshine and JP? And decided against JP because some anonymous dude felt like he knew what JP was doing more than the source. I know for a fact that JP does more than just combine prep. Or more than just fitness classes.
I guess the point is, for some reason, this newer crowd on CB just decides to spout off some random nonsense, not thinking about any affects it may have on someone else. Then when that person gets upset over it, they continuing digging in calling them thin skinned, or roid raging, or whatever. It's pathetic and really uncalled for. Yes I know that sounds preachy, but lots of good posters have been driven off because of this new crowd that posts here. It's pretty sad. I am aware that those who think it's ok to do that stuff I just described will probably role their eyes and say the same about me. Just one mans opinion, that's all.
