ick which tributes to who or what cause they want to support. Does that seem unreasonable to you?" Seems more like you think they shouldn't. The "well yeah they can but they will get fired" thing is kind of a lame excuse. If it's an offense that is deemed as worthy of being fired, then really they shouldn't be able to. The company, or team in this case, should make it clear that doing a certain thing is a fireable offense, not "you can do whatever you want". That's not how it works in the business world, there are rules, and if you break them they are fired. It shouldn't be a "test the waters and see" type of environment. It's "you can" or "you can't" IMHO
